Frequently asked questions: Q. What do I wear for massage? A. It is important to be as comfortable as you can in order receive the full benefit of massage. Loose fitting, light cotton clothing is recomended. If you prefer to dress down for a massage, there will be a drape provided for cover-up. Showers are available for those whoe prefer before or after their session. Q. Will it be painful? A. Communication is very important between you and your therapist. Your therapist will ask how much pressure you prefer, however please feel free to let the therapist know the amount of pressure that is comfortable to you. Q. How much time should I allow for a session? A. It is suggested that you arrive 10 - 15 minutes prior to your massage appointment. Q. Should I eat before my session? A. It is suggested that you should allow 60 - 90 minutes for digestion prior to your massage session. Q. Is massage covered by my Health Insurance? A. We are members of The American Specialty Health Network and would gladly service it's members. Please let us know if you are a participaing member at the time of making your appointment. Q. What is the customary gratuity for a massage therapist? A. The customary gratuity for a massage therapist is 10%. Q. Is there a charge if I miss my appointment? A. Please give your therapist courtesy a 24 hour notice if you will not be able to keep your scheduled appointment. There will be a $30.00 fee for missed or cancelled appointments within 24 hours. |
